How we handle data

Your privacy, in plain words.

This page describes how IT Speaking Club currently handles the personal data you send us through this website. It is not legal advice. We are not GDPR-certified — this is our practice, written honestly.

01

Who we are

IT Speaking Club is a community where people in and around tech practice spoken English. We run club sessions and programs, including Career English Track. We operate from Armenia.

02

What we collect

When you apply, we keep the answers you send. That usually includes your first and last name, email, phone number, Telegram, country, city, LinkedIn (if you share it), how you heard about us, English level, whether you work in IT, and a short intro about yourself.

Career English Track Apply also records format as Online. Facilitator applications on Careers also ask which role fits you, your experience, availability, and an optional video intro link.

03

Why we collect it

We use this information to process applications and to contact you about sessions, programs, and facilitator roles — by email and Telegram.

04

Where it lives

Applications go into Google Sheets: one sheet for club Join, one for Career / facilitate applications, and one for Career English Track Apply. Google hosts that data. Join and Careers also email a copy of each application to [email protected]. Career English Track Apply does not email on submit. Follow-up happens by email and Telegram, not through a separate member database on this site.

05

Who can see it

Club organizers who handle membership, programs, and facilitator applications. We do not sell your details.

06

How long we keep it

We keep your application answers as long as we need them to handle your application and, if you take part, your participation in the club. There is no fixed deletion date for them.

If you ask us to delete your data, we remove your application answers — email, phone, city, intro, and LinkedIn — and erase your browser session on this site. If you never paid by card, we can remove everything we hold about you.

If you paid by card, we keep the payment record for at least 3 years after the payment, because card payment slips must be kept that long. That record shows what was paid for, the amount, the date, and the payment’s status, together with your name and your Telegram account ID and username, so it is clear who paid. During those 3 years a deletion request does not remove it. After that, if you still want it gone, we delete it too.

The bank keeps its own record of the card payment, and your Telegram account belongs to Telegram. Both are outside the club, and we cannot delete them.

07

Your rights

Email [email protected] to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. That’s the same address we use for other club mail.

Legal name and address are on the Contact page.

08

Armenia

We operate from Armenia. If the law that applies to you gives you extra rights, write to us at the same address and we’ll do our best to help.

09

Cookies

Public pages of this site do not set cookies. Cookies appear only during card checkout, when you start Telegram sign-in.

There are two session cookies in that browser. One is for the one-time sign-in link. One is for the session after Start. They hold the session, not your application answers.

They are not advertising or analytics. This site has no cookie banner, because these cookies exist only for the payment you just started. Without them, that browser cannot stay the one that asked for the link.

A deletion request still erases the browser session, as this page already says.

Paid by card for a session or a ticket? How that payment comes back is on the Refunds page.
